Usher announced the postponement of Wednesday’s opening night of his Past Present Future tour in his hometown of Atlanta. A representative for Usher revealed that the 45-year-old singer needs time in order to heal from an unspecified injury. The multiple Grammy Award-winning R&B superstar disclosed the show postponement with a post on Instagram, hours before his performance was scheduled to start.
“For my 30-plus year career, 100% of my blood, sweat and tears has gone into putting on the best performance and creating a memorable experience for my fans,” Usher wrote. “I have every intention of doing that for this tour as well which is why i have to postpone tonight’s show and reschedule it for a later date to give my body a second to rest and heal. I wouldn’t be the entertainer that I am if I can’t physically give you my best. I can’t wait to celebrate this legacy with you.” As of now, Usher’s two additional Atlanta shows on Friday and Saturday are still scheduled to go on as planned. (Variety)
