On July 26, three of the four members of the beloved gospel group the Nelons died in a tragic plane crash. On Friday (August 30), the Nelons final album, Loving You, will be released to hopefully ease the pain of their untimely deaths. Kelly Nelon Clark, her husband, Jason Clark, and their daughter Amber Nelon Kistler were killed along with four others when their private plane crashed in Wyoming. The group’s only surviving member is Kelly and Jason’s other daughter, Autumn Nelon Streetman, who found the strength to sing “Family Chain” at the Nelons’ memorial service in Roopville, Georgia back on Aug. 6. “
People have asked me, ‘How did you get up there and sing at the funeral?’ And I told them, ‘This is what we do. We sing in good times and bad times,’” she shared. “The Lord just gave me the strength to get up there and do it.” Autumn loves her group’s last work together, and hopes their fans do too. “I think that this album was made for this time and each song will mean something to everybody. [It’s music] that anybody can relate to. I know it means something to me.” (Billboard)
