Lainey Wilson just released her hotly-anticipated new album, Whirlwind, on Friday (August 23). And with her high-profile record release, Wilson will be even more in the public spotlight, a place she is growing accustomed to as her career flourishes. In a new interview with People, Wilson disclosed how she handles the pressure of being a country star and being looked up to by her young music fans. “That pressure is going to hold me accountable. I feel like I can handle that pressure,” Wilson reveals. “I feel like at the end of the day, I still fear mama, daddy, and the Lord, and I try my best not to do things that would disappoint them. But I know I have a lot of little people watching me, and watching what I wear, watching what I say. It’s important for me to make sure that I can lay my head down at night, and be proud of what I did or said.” In other Lainey Wilson news, the country star just partnered with Kendra Scott for a special jewelry collection that was inspired by her new record.
