After weeks of keeping the full details of her upcoming album hidden, Kelsea Ballerini shared the complete tracklist for her new record, Patterns, with an album teaser video on Instagram. The 15-track collection is set for release on October 25, and it will feature Ballerini’s previously shared singles, “Sorry Mom,” which Kelsea described as “a love letter to the growth of mother and daughter to woman and woman,” and her Noah Kahan collaboration, “Cowboys Cry Too.” Other new tracks featured on the album include “Nothing Really Matters,” “We Broke Up,” and “Beg For Your Love,” which suggests the entire album will be as emotional as the record’s vulnerable first two singles.
In a recent interview with the Associated Press, Ballerini disclosed what is at the heart of her new batch of songs. “I think that people probably expect this really happy-go-lucky, love, mushy, gushy record from me. That’s not the case. And I’m really proud of that,” she said. “It would have been easy to, I think, just collect the really beautiful parts of my life that I’ve dusted off and found the last couple of years. But that’s not the fullness of my experience.” (Holler)
