During Jelly Roll’s performance at the Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana on Friday, September 13, the country superstar made the evening even more special for two newlyweds in the audience. Jelly has been recognized throughout his Beautifully Broken Tour and beyond for his incredible generosity and kindness, and at his recent show one newly-married Lafayette couple learned firsthand just how giving he can be. While Jelly Roll was performing his hit, “Son of a Sinner,” the singer noticed a sign in the crowd that read “Just Married,” causing him to ask, “Hold on. Y’all really just got married? When — today?”

The newlyweds, whose names are Aiden and Claire Sanders, showed Jelly Roll their wedding picture on their phone, which was then shown on the arena’s big screens. Jelly asked the couple, who eloped earlier that day, if they thought of where they wanted to go on their honeymoon, but they hadn’t thought about it. “I tell you what. I’m gonna give you $10,000 to go, if it’s alright with you,” Jelly Roll then announced, giving the couple the best wedding present they could have possibly imagined. (Taste of Country
