The inspiration behind Kasey Tyndall’s new single, “Not As I’ve Done,” is her 16-month-old daughter, Sterling. The 29-year-old rising country star co-wrote the emotional tune alongside Adam Wood and Justin Richards, which will resonate with parents and kids alike. “I think the song is just really about any parent’s advice to their kid,” says Tyndall. “It’s just as simple as that.” But having Sterling appear in the music video with Tyndall wasn’t all that simple. “I’ve been very hesitant about posting about Sterling and having her in videos just because the internet is the wild, wild West and it’s not always good,” Tyndall explains. “After talking it over with Nate [DeOrdio, her husband and Murfreesboro City firefighter], we just agreed that Sterling would look back on this and she would love it. I just knew she had to be in this.” Tyndall is currently on the road supporting Ian Munsick, and working on her forthcoming self-titled debut release with MNRK Music Group. (People)
