After releasing her highly-anticipated new album, Postcards From Texas, on Friday (September 13), Miranda Lambert has just announced a special benefit show in support of shelter pet welfare. Music For Mutts will take place in Nashville on October 5, which will celebrate the 15th anniversary of Lambert’s animal rights advocacy group, MuttNation Foundation. Hardy, Lukas Nelson, and Jake Worthington, along with a few yet-to-be-announced surprise guests will join Lambert in performing at the show, a fundraiser supporting MuttNation’s mission of shelter pet welfare, animal rights awareness, and spay and neuter projects.
Lambert announced the Music For Mutts show in an Instagram video posted on Monday (September 16), inviting fans to the benefit concert who might have missed out on her surprise pop-up show at Casa Rosa in Nashville on Sunday where she played her new album from top to bottom. Lambert and MuttNation are also hosting an adoption event in Nashville’s Ascend Park in the afternoon before the benefit show. (Taste of Country)
