Tommy Richman Announces Release Date For Debut Album, ‘Coyote’

Tommy Richman has revealed that his long-awaited debut album, Coyote, will finally hit streaming services on September 27. Richman’s breakout hit single, “Million Dollar Baby,” has already spent 16 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 so far this year, raising the commercial demand for a full-length record from the hybrid rapper-singer. Richman made the announcement with a post on Instagram on Monday (August 26), releasing a brief album teaser video that he captioned, “welcome to the desert. Coyote, my debut album. 9/27.”

The trailer features a coyote walking on a desert film set, before the camera pans to Richman seated in front of a mirror wiping clown makeup off his face, alluding to the cover art of his 2022 Alligator project. The 24-year-old native of Woodbridge, Virginia, downplayed the runaway success of his hit single, telling Billboard back in June to expect bigger things in the future. “This is a big record, but this doesn’t define me,” Richman said. “I’m using this as, ‘We’re here. We arrived.’ Not as, ‘We made it!’ This is the start of a run.” (Billboard)
