In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Dr. Dre revealed new information about his long-rumored forthcoming album with Snoop Dogg, Missionary, including accidentally sharing that it includes a collaboration with rock legend Sting. When Dre was asked how many of the album’s new tracks that he raps on, the Compton hip-hop legend disclosed more about the record than perhaps he should have. “I did a couple of songs, I’m not sure one of them is gonna make it,” Dre said, when he was then asked who else appears on the album. “We have Sting on a song, we have…. Man, it’s an amazing roster of artists on this album, I shouldn’t have even said that to be honest.”
Dre went on to share that fans should expect to hear the new album sometime this fall and it will feature a significant amount of tracks. “I feel this is some of the best music I’ve done in my career — I’m not playing,” said Dre. “I think people are really gonna enjoy this. I have to be done and delivered by September 1 to have a November release. I wanted 14 songs, Snoop wants 16.” (Variety)
