The all-star tribute to Bruce Springsteen‘s beloved 1982 album, Nebraska, which took place in Nashville last September is coming to PBS on August 31. The show – which featured performances of classic Bruce tunes by Noah Kahan, Emmylou Harris, Eric Church, and more – has been turned into a PBS television special, Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska: A Celebration in Words and Music. The first trailer for the special includes footage of Kahan singing “Atlantic City,” and musician/author Warren Zanes, who serves as host for the show, talking about the impact Springsteen’s album had on his life.

“Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska has stayed with me over decades,” says Zanes, who wrote an entire book about the album in 2023, Deliver Me From Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska. The preview also features clips of Harris singing “The Price You Pay,” Lyle Lovett covering “My Father’s House,” Lucinda Williams playing “Born in the U.S.A.,” and Church performing “Dancing In the Dark.” (Billboard)
