Flavor Flav was one of the standout celebrities of the recent Paris Olympics. The Public Enemy rapper seemed to be at every event supporting the athletes in his own distinctive way. Flav also sponsored the U.S. women’s water polo team, and helped pay the rent of Team USA discus thrower Veronica Fraley, so his heart was clearly in the right place as was his energetic support of the Olympians from the stands. Now, amid the Bronze medal controversy swirling around Jordan Chiles, Flav has offered to make the American gymnast a bronze clock necklace fashioned after his own signature look.
A ruling by the IOC on Saturday declared that Chiles would be stripped of her bronze medal in the floor exercise final. But Flav has her back and then some. The rapper tweeted out to Chiles on X on Sunday, writing, “”Ayyy YOOOO @ChilesJordan ,,, Imma make you a BRONZE CLOCK NECKLACE,,, and that’s something NO ONE else has!!! Hit me up my girl,,, I gotchu,!!!” (Entertainment Weekly)
