SZA Taking A Break From Performing In Order To ‘Get My Life Together’

Following SZA’s headlining set at Montreal’s Osheaga Fest over the weekend, the R&B star revealed on Monday that she is planning on taking well-earned break from performances. SZA made the announcement with a post on X, writing, “Yesterday was my last show for a while. Finally bout to get my life together thank u God.” SZA also appreciatively reposted a fan’s compliment about her shows being “so hype,” while adding, “This makes me so happy cause that’s all I’m tryna do !! I jus wanna capture yalls energy mix it up w mine add some love and throw it back. All within 90 mins I love you.”

SZA performed 63 shows across the world on her SOS tour throughout 2023-2024, following that up with a run of festivals this summer including high profile sets at Lollapalooza, Osheaga, and Glastonbury. But SZA has new music in the works even if she’s taking a break from the road, debuting “Cry Baby” at Lolla, while continuing to work on a forthcoming album called Lana and teasing a future collaboration with Paramore.
